Types of Air Purifiers: Pros and Cons and Working
We need to get rid of the pollution and all the contaminants from the air to breathe healthy air. Due to our negligence, the world is getting polluted. This pollution is causing the effect at our home also. Inhale the polluted air for a long time may cause scary diseases like chronic respiratory disease or lung cancer. Pollution also worsens the condition of asthma patients and provides exhaustion to allergic patients. We cannot cover the entire outdoors for air purifying. The world is so big. But thanks to technology, we can purify the air of our houses to get a healthy life. Air purifiers are like the elixir in this polluted environment. If you opt to get the new air purifiers, you need to know about the types of cleaners. As there are many cleaners, their work is different, and they come with many pros and cons. The Types, pros, and cons are listed below.

Germicidal Purifiers
Germicidal Air Purifiers are the most advanced method. We also know this type of air purifier as the ultraviolet air purifier or UV air purifier. This air purifier covers the desired area with ultraviolet rays to kill germs. UV purifiers throw the ultraviolet rays to eradicate the germs and viruses; it will not remove the dust particles or any other type of dirt and pollutants.

Pros:
I want to say that UV air purifier is the ruthless killer of germs or airborne microorganisms. This is the most beneficial antibacterial and anti-viral disinfectant method. UV light has a wide range of medical advantages; it is a perfect way to prevent yourself from the pandemic.
Cons:
It is debatable how effective a UV purifier is??? It is an air purifier with many consequences. As we know, ultraviolet rays are not healthy for our skin and eyes. It can cause many eyes and skin problems. A UV air purifier is quite efficient against microorganisms, but also the drawbacks of the air purifier are also huge. It solves the one problem but creating the new steadiest other problem.
HEPA Purifiers
HEPA air purifying technology is the most promising technology, and no one competes with it. This air purifying type was introduced decades ago, but this type of air-purifying is still the best. High-efficiency particulate air purifiers contain the HEPA filter. This air purifying system efficiency is more than 99% and can catch up to 0.1 microns or more. HEPA Purifier uses the fan to lure the polluted air into the device. The tiny fiberglass-made HEPA filter will filter out all the air pollutants and circulate the fresh air to the room. It can also capture molds, dust mites, and pet dander. One more benefit of this air purifier is that it usually circulates the air five times per hour; this means you will get continuous fresh air. If some pollutants budge into your place, the HEPA monitoring will instantly take action to capture them.

Pros
This is the most widely and commonly used in great air purifiers. The efficiency of this type of air purifier is the highest. HEPA purifier is very effective against particle pollution. Plus, there is no side effect of this air purification system. It just provides you with health.

Cons
There is only one drawback of this filter. You cannot wash or reuse the filter of HEPA. When the filter's life is over, you need to throw it out and get the new one.
Adsorbent Purifiers
Let's think about the other type of pollution. Yes, there are many types of pollution, but gaseous pollution is more hazardous than any other type. The harmful chemicals and smoke can cause serious damage to the lungs and any other parts of the body. That's why you should not stick to the particulate matter removal; you must get the cleaner that can remove the harmful chemicals, odors, and smoke from the air. Adsorbent cleaners are made up of carbon filters, which is the best tool to trap any gaseous pollutants and the odors floating around your home.

Pros
Like the HEPA, adsorbent purifiers have no harmful byproducts. So we can surely say that adsorbent air purifiers are quite safe for usage. The one more awesome thing is it removes the annoying odor and volatile organic compounds, which cannot be tackled by the HEPA or Ionic filters.
Cons
An adsorbent air purifier cannot remove airborne particulates like viruses and air allergens. Unfortunately, you have to see the extreme purifying systems like UV and Ozone to kill the viruses. HEPA is also slow against those viruses; HEPA takes so much time to kill airborne particulates.
Ionic Air Purifiers
HEPA is more popular than the Ionic air purifier because it creates a small amount of ozone. Let me tell you ozone is a compound formed by three oxygen atoms and can trigger various health problems; that's why we are against Ozone generators. We even don't talk about this ozone-generating purifying system because it is hazardous for health. But Ionic Filter is by far safer than the Ozone generators. In fact, for some time, the Ionic purifier became the closed rival of the HEPA. Ionic Air Purifiers create a negative or positive Ion to capture the particles. This is the most beneficial air purifying system after HEPA.

Pros
Due to the ionic formation, this type of air purifier is filterless. So, you don't have to clean and replace the filter. Ionic air purifiers are very convenient to use and also very easy to manage. Ionic Air Purifiers are quieter purifiers than HEPA purifiers. Ionic Air purifiers have two methods: one it captures the particulate on the plates and the second ions circulate around your room and sit on the surface for the cleaning.
Cons
Ionic Air Purifier is less effective than the HEPA air purifier for removing particulate matter. One basic demerit that decreased this system's popularity is: In the Ionic creating process, it may also create ozone that is hazardous for the health. Most people argue about that, but the Ionic purifier uses the corona discharge method; according to the research, this method is certainly creating the ozone.
